How do you protect your computer? A computer can be a work machine, a household reference source and a child's toy during different times of the day depending on who in the family is using it.

As computers become simpler to use, even for a four year old, the technology behind them is still highly technical and complex. So, one wonders how we as parents can secure our computers and families from modern threats targeting them through this technology?

Today I got to unsubscribe from two e-mailing lists.  I have randomly joined many e-mailing lists in the past as I have found that some of them have valuable free information to offer.

In deciding to leave the e-mail lists that I have today I had two criteria.  The first was if my account had expired with them and two their offers always required a purchase price.

The second unsubscribe generally had offers for less than $3, $5 or $8 but if I had taken 100 offers out of the 200 sent to me the total amount spent would have added up.

Now I'll just see if I can remove two more in the next few days and hopefully my inbox and junk mail will have fewer e-mails.

The first page I created in weebly.com is a site to play the New York Times Crossword.  You can find it at http:/NYTCrossword.weebly.com

This blog is from Business On A Page Gateway, founded by Steven Vella.  The blog is under the weebly.com domain because the service is free and seems to be quite rich in features.  I hope in time I will be able to publish snippets of information about all the free websites, shops, autoresponders etc that I have used to get my online presence happening so that others will be able to learn and benefit from them.
